Overcoming Perfectionism, Developing Self-Acceptance
We sometimes set up an 'all or nothing' approach to things. We believe that if we're not able to do something perfectly we have failed, and our actions were meaningless. This painful mindset can lead to excessive self-criticism and discouragement. We can become competitive with others, feeling huge pressure to perform and to be the best. By striving for perfection we also create obstacles to performing daily tasks efficiently, and even block our spiritual progress.
Join us as we learn how to let go of perfectionism and self-critical thought patterns, and instead, nourish positive attitudes of self-acceptance. Also, how to redirect our energies toward contentment and setting realistic expectations. We will learn to be more gentle with ourselves, discovering the confidence and strength to progress towards becoming the person we wish to be.
Kelsang Lekso
Kelsang Lekso has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for many years and teaches the Foundation Program. Her kindness and good humor is admired as she enjoys sharing her love of Dharma with everyone she meets. She has incredible faith and understanding of Kadam Dharma.
