September 9 - October 14

Buddha explained that to bring about real transformation – from the dissatisfaction we often feel to the authentic happiness we long for – we need to do three things: create positive actions that cause happiness, abandon negative actions that cause suffering, and learn to control our delusions – the harmful states of mind that destroy our wellbeing from within. Doing this will allow us to gradually build up a spiritual practice and the inner foundation of that real, lasting happiness that we yearn for, both for ourselves and others.

Based on the chapter “A Common Spiritual Practice” in How to Transform Your Life, we will explore each of the habits of happiness, unpacking the key concepts and practices, and applying Buddha’s ancient wisdom to our busy, modern lives.
