Kadam Amy Peng
Resident Teacher

Over the past 20 years, Kadam Amy Peng has taught at Kadampa centers in Los Angeles, San Diego, Santa Monica & Palm Springs.  In June of 2025, she accepted the role of Resident Teacher of Vajrayogini Kadampa Buddhist Center. Kadam Amy completed the 2018 Intensive Teacher Training Program at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre in Ulverston, England.  With warmth and sincerity, Kadam Amy shows the joy of integrating Buddha’s teachings into daily life and is an inspiring example of modern Kadampa Buddhist practitioner. 

Christine McKinnon

Christine is a long-time practitioner and has studied Kadampa Buddhism since 2001. She is currently a Foundation Program student of Vajrayogini Kadampa Buddhist Center. She last studied with Gen Lingpur in Tuscon, Arizona and has also studied at Kadampa Centers in Olympia, Washington and San Diego. Her dedication to study and practice is clear and unwavering. Chistine brings depth and experience to her teachings.

Maria Minaglia
Administrative Director

Maria has studied Kadampa Buddhism for the last 20 years and is a long-time student in the Foundation Program class. She found the tradition at Kadampa Meditation Center, San Francisco in 2005 and continued her studies with Kadampa Meditation Center, Los Angeles & Hermosa Beach. As a busy mother of two and having personal experience of the benefits of Buddhist meditation, with warmth Maria enjoys sharing with others how to integrate them.

John Minaglia

John has been a student of Kadampa Buddhism for the past 16 years and is a long-time student of the Foundation Program class. He began the Foundation Program at Kadampa Meditation Center, Los Angeles, with Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong. He is an inspirational father of two who brings levity and humor to every situation. His understanding of Dharma is grounded in practical application, and he sincerely enjoys helping others understand the Buddha's teachings.
