Meditation is the key to unlocking your pure potential & finding true unshakable happiness!
We offer a wide variety of weekly classes in the evenings, mornings, and at lunchtime! Classes at VKBC are suitable for all levels and include guided meditations and practical teachings as well as opportunities to ask questions and discuss. Just drop-in!
Our weekend program includes beginners’ workshops, special one-time courses, and mini-retreats, all of which are ideal for making some headway into meditation and allowing us to delve deeper into different areas of Buddha’s teachings and meditations.
A monthly membership is the most cost-effective way to access all of our teachings. All activities are dedicated to the development of world peace through the cultivation of inner peace.

You don’t have to be a Buddhist to learn Buddhist meditation and find peace, positivity and joy in your life, whatever circumstances you find yourself in. Meditation means familiarizing ourself with positive and happy ways of thinking and overcoming negative habits of mind that cause unhappiness. Buddhist meditation is open to everybody who wants to learn it; it doesn’t belong to Buddhists. It resonates with a lot of people these days because it provides very practical methods for finding peace, happiness and meaning in the midst of busy modern daily life. It also provides practical and effective ways of helping others and dealing with many of the problems in the world today.

An empowerment is a blessing ritual and guided meditation through which we make a deep connection with an enlightened Buddha and create the cause to achieve that Buddha's enlightened state.
The blessing empowerment of Buddha Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification, will enable us to connect directly with Vajrasattva's mind and to receive purification simply through his blessings. This powerful experience gives us a brief glimpse of the inner freedom and universal love experienced by an enlightened mind.
Blaming and resenting others for our problems and pain actually harms us. Buddha teaches many special ways of thinking to free our minds from the harmful habit of blaming others and experience the joy and freedom of learning to forgive.
We dedicate most of our time and energy trying to avoid problems by making changes to the external world. However, the main cause of our unhappiness and difficulties cannot be found in external conditions. By relying upon Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification, we will cleanse our mind of delusions, negativity and obstacles. Through special meditation and mantra recitation, we have the great opportunity to purify our minds quickly, so that we can make swift progress on the spiritual path.
This condensed self-generation practice of Vajrayogini is a perfect beginning for those who have recently received Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments. For more experienced practitioners immersed in busy modern life, this is a quick way to keep your tantric practice fresh and meaningful.
*This practice is open to those with Highest Yoga Tantra (HYT) empowerment from the New Kadampa Tradition or those who have the wish to receive the next HYT empowerment.
After the morning meditation class, it's the time of year for a Holiday Potluck to celebrate the growth of our center and have fun in the company of Sangha friends! If you wish, bring a vegetarian snack or treat to share.
Tired of the same old New Year’s Eve bash? Meditate your way into 2026 instead! We start the year in just the way we mean to continue it … with a peaceful, positive mind and a big, compassionate heart. Kadam Amy will then guide us in the inspiring practice of the Green Tara and recitation of her beautiful mantra OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA. To close the evening, we will dedicate our peaceful, compassionate intentions to the welfare of the entire world, and conclude with a non-alcoholic New Year’s toast & vegetarian hors d’oeuvres.
