About this event
At the heart of Kadampa Buddhism is the practice of Heart Jewel. This chanted prayer practice is simple but profound. For centuries, Kadampa Buddhists have relied upon an unbroken lineage of powerful prayers and meditations designed to quickly increase our compassion and spiritual power, and to connect us to the wisdom and inspiration of the enlightened beings. These prayers may ultimately lead us to enlightenment in just one lifetime.
In this half-day class, we will learn about the origin of Kadampa Buddhism, its founder, Je Tsongkhapa, and his Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden. This practice is a special method for receiving blessings. By establishing Heart Jewel as our daily practice, this will enable us to integrate all the teachings into our heart and our daily life.
Since finding Kadampa meditation in Santa Ana, Jane has been studying in the Foundation Program classes and has devoted herself to the practices. An educator with a very big heart, Jane loves teaching and giving practical examples from her own daily experience
